MENDOTA - Eleanor G. Geuther, 81, of Mendota died April 10, 2017 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18 at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion with Rev. Kevin Weeks officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Those attending her services are encouraged to wear their jeans and sweatshirts.

Eleanor was born Nov. 16, 1935 in Mendota to Elmer W. and Lillian (Truckenbrod) Bauer. She married Ralph Geuther on Aug. 29, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Keith) Rosenwinkel of Mendota and Sandy (Bob) Roseberg of Princeton; one son, Ronald (Janice) Geuther of LaMoille; seven grandchildren, Chad, Beth, Shellie, Scott, Zachary, Garrett and Elizabeth; five great-grandchildren, Tristan, Haylie, Alex, Dane and Chase; three sisters, Janet (Jim) Schmidt, Linda (Edgar) Browder and Joanne (Tom) Maloy, all of Mendota.

She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant brother.

Eleanor was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion. She was employed by Wayside Press, Classon's Superfoods, Caron Yarn and Heritage Health, all located in Mendota. She was also an avid basketball fan following her grandchildren's games and the Chicago Bulls.

Memorials may be directed to the Clarion Cemetery, Mendota Area Senior Services or the donor's choice.
