Egyptian Theatre to present variety of holiday shows

DEKALB – The Egyptian Theatre will present a variety of plays, music, and movies this holiday season.

The Grinch

The Egyptian Theatre will present a free showing of the 2018 film, The Grinch, on Friday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Nutcracker

The Beth Fowler Dance Company will present its 26th Annual production of The Nutcracker at the Egyptian Theatre Dec. 6-8.

With the beautiful dancing, costumes and stage sets, this favorite holiday classic will tell a story that will make everyone feel like a child at Christmas.

It’s a Wonderful Life

The Egyptian Theatre will present It’s a Wonderful Life as part of its Classic Film Series in 35mm on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.

A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage

The Egyptian Theatre will present A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Everyone’s favorite holiday classic comes to life in the all-new touring production, A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage.

Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the whole Peanuts gang as the produce their own Christmas play and ultimately learn the true meaning of the season.

Adapted from Charles M. Schultz’s timeless story of the spirit of Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage features the unforgettable music of Vince Guaraldi, as well as a concert of beloved holiday carols performed by the Peanuts characters.

The Prophecy: Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tribute

The Egyptian Theatre will present the music of Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. North America’s most popular and longest running tribute to Trans-Siberian Orchestra is coming to the Egyptian Theatre. This powerhouse group of classically trained musicians come together to create nothing short of an electrifying evening of holiday rock music. Performing in the style of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Prophecy has spared no details when it comes to costumes, choreography, music, lasers, and fog. The Egyptian Theatre will present Diamond Rio Holiday and Hits Tour on Friday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m.
