T. McNally makes Monmouth Dean's List

MONMOUTH – Timothy McNally, an elementary education major from Paw Paw, has made the Dean's List at Monmouth College. To qualify, students need to have taken at least 3.0 academic credits and attained a GPA for those courses of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. McNally is the child of Kristina McNally of Paw Paw.

M. Mikolasek on U. of Iowa President’s List

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Madison Mikolasek of Mendota was among the more than 1,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the President's List for the 2022 spring semester.

Mikolasek is a second-year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in Biology.

President's List status was earned by 73 first-year undergraduates during the 2022 spring semester at Iowa, 199 second-year students, 285 third-year students and 463 fourth-year students.

The President's List was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence. In order to be included on the list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 grade-point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the 2022 spring semester, and a minimum of nine graded hours with a 4.0 grade-point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the 2022 fall semester.

K. Anderson named to U. of Iowa Dean’s List

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Katherine Anderson of La Moille was among the more than 5,500 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the Dean's List for the 2022 spring semester.

Anderson is a third-year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in English and Creative Writing.

Dean's List status was earned by 714 first-year undergraduates during the 2022 spring semester at Iowa, 1,268 second-year students, 1,559 third-year students, and 2,045 fourth-year students.

Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, the Tippie College of Business, and University College who achieve a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on nine semester hours (spring 2022) or more of UI graded coursework during a given semester or summer session and who have no semester hours of "I" (incomplete) or "O" (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the Dean's List for that semester.

 

Local students named to NIU Dean's List

DeKALB – Northern Illinois University has announced its spring 2022 Dean's List students. To earn this distinction, students must meet a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in the colleges of Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.

Area students who achieved this honor include:

Harrison Vallaro of Earlville, College of Engineering; Hannah Ambler of Mendota, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Katee Johnson of Mendota, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Paxton Kennedy of Mendota, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Elizabeth Medina of Mendota, College of Education; Katherine Wohrley of Mendota, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

 

NIU lists Spring 2022 graduates

DeKALB – Over 2,200 students received their degrees from Northern Illinois University in May. Included among the graduates are:

Sandra Kofoed of Earlville, Bachelor of Science in Marketing; Kyle Stephens of Earlville, Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology-Applied Manufacturing Technology; Jennie Espinoza of Mendota, Master of Science in Applied Human Development & Family Sciences and Marriage & Family Therapy; Paxton Kennedy of Mendota, Bachelor of Science in Economics; Amy Kofoed of Mendota, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering; Diana Nanez of Mendota, Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

B. Carroll named to Marquette Dean's List

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., has announced its Dean’s List students for the Spring 2022 semester.

Among the students making the list is Brooke Carroll of Mendota, who is pursuing a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

To make the Dean's List, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the spring 2022 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college - for the College of Education and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 to be named to the Dean's List. The undergraduate GPA requirement is 3.5 for the following colleges: the Diederich College of Communication, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the Opus College of Engineering and the College of Nursing. All other programs have a 3.75 GPA minimum.
