Aurora University dean’s list
AURORA - Aurora University has named Emily Ross of Mendota to the dean’s list for the spring semester. The dean’s list recognizes full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or higher.
Ross is majoring in special education.
Founded in 1893, Aurora University is a four-year, private, nonprofit, fully accredited higher education institution offering students a quality education while maintaining one of the lowest private tuition rates in Illinois.
UIS dean’s list
SPRINGFIELD – The University of Illinois Springfield has released their dean’s list for the spring semester. Local students include Jonathan Tielebein of Mendota and Joseph Bacidore of LaMoille.
In order to qualify for the dean’s list at UIS, a student must be an undergraduate who took at least eight graded semester hours and maintained a grade-point average of at least 3.75 for the semester.
St. Ambrose dean’s list
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Kathryn NcNally and Annah Scholl, both of Mendota, have been named to the St. Ambrose University dean’s list for the spring term. To be included, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Founded in 1882 by the Diocese of Davenport, St. Ambrose is a private, coeducational, comprehensive university with a firm grounding in the liberal arts, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Local student named Robert G. Bone Scholar
NORMAL - Payton Gehm of Mendota is one of 14 undergraduate students at Illinois State University awarded with the Bone Scholarship for the 2018-19 academic year. The announcement was made by the University’s Honors Program.
Recipients of the scholarship will be introduced to university administrators, the selection committee, and current and alumni Bone Scholars during a luncheon on Sunday, Sept. 16.
Gehm is majoring in music education.
UW-Madison dean’s list
MADISON, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized two Mendota students, Brooke Carroll and James Carroll, who were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester. Both students are enrolled in the College of Agricultural & Life Science.
UW-Madison students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive this distinction.
