St. Ambrose commencement
DAVENPORT, Iowa - Blake Pohl of Mendota graduated from St. Ambrose University on May 12 during spring commencement held at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline. Pohl earned a degree in Management-Finance. A total of 614 degrees, including 456 bachelor’s degrees and 168 master’s and doctoral degrees were conferred.
Commencement speaker, the Most. Rev. Thomas Zinkula, JD, JCL, ninth Bishop of the Diocese of Davenport and chair of the St. Ambrose University Board of Trustees, received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the commencement ceremony. Timothy Millea, M.D., a member of the advisory board that helped launch the SAU physical therapy program in 1993, was also awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
Distinguished Scholar at Rockford University
ROCKFORD - Alexandra Collins of Earlville has been announced as a spring 2018 Distinguished Scholar at Rockford University.
Rockford University students who complete all requirements for the semester and earn a minimum 3.75 GPA with no grades below “C” are named as Distinguished Scholars.
Rockford University is a private four-year, co-educational institution founded in 1847 offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in traditional liberal arts and professional fields. The University offers more than 80 majors, minors and concentrations, including the adult accelerated degree completion program for a B.S. in Management Studies. Graduate Studies department degrees include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), and Master of Education in Urban Education, (M.Ed.).
