University of Iowa dean’s list

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Local students, Phyllis Brower and Cody Zinke, both of Mendota were named to the University of Iowa fall 2018 dean’s list.

Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Tippie College of Business who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of UI graded course work during a semester and who have no semester hours of I (incomplete) or O (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the dean’s list for that semester.

Aurora University dean’s list

AURORA - Fabiola Felix and Emily Ross, both of Mendota, earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2018 semester at Aurora University. The dean’s list recognizes students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or higher. Felix, a junior studying Pre-Social Work, and Ross, a junior studying Special Education, both earned high honors (a perfect 4.0). Students included on the dean’s list completed a minimum of 12 semester hours for a letter grade in the term.

Founded in 1893, Aurora University is a four-year, private, nonprofit, fully accredited higher education institution offering students an excellent education while maintaining one of the lowest private tuition rates in Illinois. 

UW-Platteville dean’s list

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Marie Barnickel of Compton has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville dean’s list, which honors full-time students who earned high honors in their respective colleges in the fall 2018 semester.

Barnickel is studying in the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture (BILSA) with an undecided major. The BILSA and the College of Liberal Arts and Education require grade-point averages of 3.75 and above to earn dean’s list honors, while the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science requires students to reach at least a 3.50.
