Carthage College dean’s list

KENOSHA, Wis. - Carthage College has named Elizabeth Willis of Mendota to its dean’s list for academic excellence during the fall 2017 semester.

Dean's list honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester.

Carthage College, a four-year, private liberal arts college with roots in the Lutheran tradition, combines an environment of reflection and self-discovery with a culture of high expectation so students uncover their true potential.

Monmouth College dean’s list

MONMOUTH - Joshua Gross of LaMoille is included on the dean’s list at Monmouth College for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0) scale while enrolled as a full-time student.

Gross, a sophomore physical education major, is the son of Richard and Mary Gross of LaMoille.

Paw Paw resident graduates from YSU

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Lori Van Beek of Paw Paw was one of more than 600 graduates awarded undergraduate and advanced degrees and certificates at Youngstown State University’s fall commencement held recently on the YSU campus in Youngstown, Ohio. Van Beek earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.

Youngstown State University is known for its focus on academic research and creative programs that transform students into successful professionals, scholars and leaders. YSU has more than 135 undergraduate and graduate programs backed by a strong tradition of teaching, scholarship and public service.

SIU dean’s list

CARBONDALE - Southern Illinois University Carbondale has announced their fall deans' lists. Local students receiving this honor are Rolando Camarillo, Lizbeth De Los Reyes, Enedina Hermosillo, Paige Simonton and Jared Wiley, all of Mendota.
