NIU dean’s list
DEKALB - Northern Illinois University has announced its fall 2018 dean’s list students. To earn this distinction, students must meet a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in the colleges of Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Local students who achieved this honor include:
Mendota - Haleigh Eller, ELED-Special Education, Marquette High School; Iris Espinoza, Communicative Disorders, Mendota High School; Elizabeth Inman, Coms-Media Studies - B.A., Mendota High School; Amy Kofoed, Biomedical Engineering - B.S., Mendota High School.
Compton - Alessandro Caruso, Economics - B.A., Mendota High School.
NIU Fall 2018 graduates
DEKALB - Northern Illinois University celebrated commencement weekend, Dec. 15 and 16. Included among the more than 1,450 graduates were the following students from local area:
Mendota - Rachel Reppin, Bachelor of Science, Nursing; Sarah Younglove, Bachelor of Science in Educ, SPED-Learning Behavior Specialist I.
Compton - Alessandro Caruso, Bachelor of Arts, Economics.
