CHILLICOTHE – Mendota’s freshman-sophomore boys’ and girls’ track teams competed in the IVC F-S Invitational on April 10 at Chillicothe.

The Lady Trojans finished third out of five teams with 45 points, while the Trojans were sixth out of seven with 40 points.

The top finish for the girls went to Lauren Schimmer, who placed second in the high jump with a leap of 4-8.

Eddy Sandoval earned the only first-place finish of the day for Mendota as he raced to the finish line in 54.06 in the 400-meter dash.
