MENDOTA - First United Methodist Church of Mendota has announced the selection of Bill Dunfrund to receive the designation of lay pastoral assistant. Dunfrund was already a certified lay servant/lay speaker.
This selection was approved and celebrated at the church’s conference on Oct. 30, 2017. District Superintendent Young-Mee Park served as the officiating denominational leader and conference representative in charge.
Dunfrund is scheduled to speak on Sunday, Feb. 11 at First UMC’s upcoming celebration of Scouting Sunday at both the 9 a.m. contemporary and the 10:30 a.m. traditional services. The public is invited and all are welcome at First United Methodist Church of Mendota.
