WEST BROOKLYN - Duane R. Truckenbrod, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home in West Brooklyn.
Funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on June 29 at Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on June 28 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle, and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial was at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
Duane was born Oct. 21, 1938 in West Brooklyn to Harvey and Cecelia (Buettner) Truckenbrod. He married Judy Boehle on July 18, 1970 in Dixon.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years; two children, Terry (Tammy) Truckenbrod of Rochelle and Trisha (Chris) Donaldson of Colfax; and six grandchildren, Jacob, Katelin, Morgan, Nathan and Ashlyn Donaldson and Alexander Truckenbrod.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Berniece Gittleson.
Duane proudly served with the U.S. Army. He was a life long farmer in the West Brooklyn area, and also served 45 years as a Viola Township Trustee.
