EARLVILLE - Douglas Wayne “Doug” Hindle, 62, of Earlville, passed away April 25, 2018 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Precinct Cemetery at a later date.
Doug was born April 20, 1956 in Mendota to William B. and Mary L. (Swayze) Hindle.
Survivors include two sons, Jacob “Jake” (Megan) Hindle of Silvis and Wyatt Hindle of Earlville; one granddaughter expected in July; one brother, Larry (Nancy) Hindle of Hillsboro; two sisters, Linda (Tom) Lonie of Roseburg, Ore. and Cindy (Chuck) Lippert of Earlville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Doug was a graduate of Earlville High School and received a BA in finance from Northern Illinois University. Most of his life he worked as a mason with Nielsen and Hindle Masonary of Earlville.
