Doubles sweep lifts netters over Kewanee


MENDOTA – Mendota swept all three doubles matches to edge Kewanee, 3-2, in varsity girls’ tennis action on Sept. 23 at the MHS courts.

Picking up victories for the Lady Trojans were the doubles teams of Hannah Ambler-Maddy Pappas, Rachel Brandner-Eve McDowell, and Natalie Orozco-Ashleigh Collins.

Rockford Lutheran downed the Lady Trojans, 3-2, on Sept. 24 at the MHS courts.

Alex Stremlau claimed her singles match for Mendota, while Brandner and Collins teamed up for victory in doubles play.
