MENDOTA - Doris I. Weber, 95, of Mendota passed away Aug. 17, 2019 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be from 10:30–11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Doris was born July 20, 1924 in Utica to George and Theda (Geil) Christofferson. She married Marvin Weber on Jan. 12, 1946 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Earlville. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Kaiser of Mendota; one son, Richard (Anne) Weber of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Beverly Kember of Serena; four grandchildren, Bryan (Lea) Kaiser of Mendota, Dale (Christine) Kaiser of Mendota, Cindy Washkowiak of Granville and Sean (Suzanne) Conover of Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Marion Klinefelter; a son-in-law, Arnold Kaiser; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Klinefelter and Dale Kember; and one grandson, Michael Washkowiak.

Doris moved with her family to the Earlville area in 1934. She and her husband resided on a farm south of Earlville for 60 years before moving to Mendota in 2006. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Earlville and later Holy Cross Church, Mendota. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
