DES PLAINES - Dennis P. Cassidy, 71, of Des Plaines, formerly of Mendota, passed away Dec. 22, 2018.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4 at St. Zachary Catholic Church, 567 W. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Jan. 4 at the church.
His family includes his wife of 28 years, Christine (Grabowski) Cassidy; one daughter, Kerry (late Robert) Corrigan; three grandchildren, Ross, Brett and Cassidy; and his siblings, James (Barbara), Donald (Roberta), Robert (Chris), Richard (late Nancy), Nancy, Patricia (Jack) Karch, Jerry (Mimi), Kevin (Carol), Thomas (Janet), Martin (Marcia), Jeffrey (Fran), late George, Jr. (Hao) and the late Julie Carlson.
Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of Moose Lodge 714 in Mendota, VFW Post 4079 in Mendota, and Elks Lodge 1526 in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Illinois Elks Children’s Care, 495 Lee St., Des Plaines, IL 60016.
