The Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, a society of women educators who promote professional and personal growth of its members and excellence in education, recently awarded an area teacher with a grant. This grant was awarded to help first-, second-, and or third-year teachers purchase supplies, curriculum materials, or incentives/rewards to be used in the classroom. The grant is awarded to Brianne DeBrock, left, Bureau Valley High School and Bureau Valley Jr. High PE and Health teacher and presented by Pat Wiggim, membership chair for Gamma Phi. Teachers receive information of this grant through their local school principal each September. (Photo contributed)
