EASTMAN, Wis. - Deanna Jean Matlock, 72, of Eastman, Wis. died Jan. 22, 2019 at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Hungry House in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation service of Prairie du Chien, Wis. assisted the family with arrangements.
Deanna was born Dec. 3, 1946 in Salem to Leroy and Freda (Stanford) Boyles. She married Charles Wesley Matlock on Dec. 17, 1981 in Ottawa.
Survivors include her husband of Eastman; two children, Matthew Heinzeroth and Crystal Thomas, both of Illinois; and five step-children, Kent (Jeannie Ernst) of DeSoto, Wis., Kim Anderson of Illinois, Roy Matlock of Richland Center, Wis., Charles Matlock Jr. of Illinois and Opal (Peter) Hostert of DeSoto, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy Boyles and Freda Stanford; one brother, Roy Boyles; one sister, Gina Mae Smith; one son, Bill Heinzeroth; a step-sister, Evie Lage; a step-brother, George (Corky) Smith Jr.; and one granddaughter, Karmen Mercer.
When Deanna and Charlie married, he brought his five children, Kent, Kim, Roy, Charles Jr. and Opal, to the marriage. In Illinois, Deanna worked for Badge-A-Minit and as a waitress at a truck stop. After moving to Wisconsin, she was a shift manager at McDonald’s in Prairie du Chien. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, sewing, growing houseplants, feeding the birds, gardening with Charlie and spending time with her family.
