SHERWOOD, Ore. - Dean M. Cannon, 65, of Sherwood, Ore. found eternal life on Feb. 21, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle with cancer.
A service of remembrance with be held in Colorado Springs, Colo. in late summer.
Dean was born in Milwaukee, Wis. to G. Dean and Theresa Cannon.
Survivors include the love of his life, Eileen; four children, Patti Cannon of Denver, Colo., Liz Cannon of Denver, Colo., Brian Cannon (fiancée Natalie Florio) of LaSalle and Michael Cannon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Katie Cannon (husband Ryan Johnson) of Maple Plain, Minn.; aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins.
Dean moved to Mendota at age 9 and graduated from Mendota Township High School in 1973. He graduated from Western Illinois University, where he was a proud member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He worked in the material handling industry and was passionate about his career. He retired in 2020. Dean enjoyed spending time with his family, sports, travel, reading and playing pool. He will be missed by all who knew him because of his dry sense of humor and love of life.
Those who wish to remember Dean in a special way may donate in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
