PAW PAW - David J. Hall, 82, of Paw Paw went with the angels who took his hand to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Dec. 25, 2017.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at the Paw Paw Bible Church, 410 7th St., Paw Paw, with Pastor Jedidiah Cary officiating. Visitation will be from 10–11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at Wyoming Township Cemetery.

David was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Dwight L. and Pearl Marie (Johnson) Hall. He married Mary K. Brewer on June 16, 1957 in Pentress, W.Va.

Survivors include his wife of Paw Paw; two daughters, Debra (Danny) Thompson of Le Mars, Iowa and Kimberly Hall of Paw Paw; three grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Kayser and Tyler and Emily Blum; a great-grandson, Brayden Kayser; one sister and three brothers; and special extended family members, Kathy Haight and Gary Dixon, originally from Australia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, one brother and two sisters.

David served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. He liked reading, playing musical instruments, and singing. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Post 511 and the Paw Paw Bible Church.
