MENDOTA - Allied Counseling Group of LaSalle, an agency offering behavioral health services with locations in LaSalle and Mendota, became a Hero of Hope level sponsor of The Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley "March To A Million" campaign. The one-time campaign aims to break the $1 million mark in time by the event’s 10th year anniversary in July of 2019.
"Allied is a proven community-minded agency," said campaign chairperson and board-certified counselor Mitch Landgraf. "This donation aligns with the generosity they show, for example, in the ‘bridge counseling’ program they coordinated with St. John’s Lutheran Church to offer accessible, affordable, high-quality counseling services."
Pamela Wolf, the agency’s owner and lead therapist noted, "We support this cause in support of the community and our patients because we have seen first-hand the way the American Cancer Society provides free patient care services to people right here in the Illinois Valley, in addition to the all-important work of research to defeat this disease."
The agency is reachable at (815) 224-4522 for both the LaSalle or Mendota sites.
Area residents, businesses, and organizations can donate, learn about the campaign or sign up to participate in the Relay For Life event at www.1mil.org. Sponsorship and other inquiries may be e-mailed to rfluiv@gmail.com. Cancer information and access to free services and supports to any Illinois Valley community member are available 24/7 in any language at 1-800-ACS-2345 or at www.cancer.org. The event’s website is www.relayforlife.org/uivil.
