OGLESBY – LaSalle County Retired Teachers Association held an executive board meeting on Aug. 26 at the Dickinson House in Oglesby.
Highlights of this executive board meeting included discussion on completion of the LSCRTA newsletter, questions to Nathan Mihelich, IRTA director of membership and marketing, the fall general meeting, and an update on the state convention.
New Business matters included discussion on the TRS Fall Retirement meeting, the December Social Luncheon, and goals for 2020.
Members are reminded to mark their calendars for the Fall 2019 General Membership meeting on Sept. 23 at Festivities Unlimited in Ottawa. Guest speakers for this meeting are IRTA Executive Director Jim Bachman and TRS Board of Trustees member Doug Strand.
The 2020 Winter Breakfast meeting will be held on Feb. 24, 2020.
