OGLESBY – LaSalle County Retired Teachers Association held a meeting on March 26 at the Dickinson House in Oglesby.
Highlights of this executive board meeting included:
*IRTA Region 7 Director Navana Ahrends updated members with a variety of material relative to our region.
*Prior minutes, treasurer report, membership report, and updated matters on benefits were presented.
*Deb Torri provided an extensive report for the Foundation Advisory Committee.
LSCRTA discussion matters included reflections of the winter breakfast meeting at Sunfields Restaurant in Ottawa, progress on 2018 LSCRTA goals, and the spring general meeting.
New Business matters included information on the IRTA Area 1 Conference at IVCC on May 17, the summer social meeting on July 23, the fall general meeting on Sept. 24, and a discussion of new retirees.
Mark your calendars for the spring general membership meeting on April 23. The meeting will be held at Festivities Unlimited in Ottawa at 8:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 9 a.m. Speakers will be AMBA’s Nancy Cramer on benefits, IRTA’s Charlie Christman on membership, and Navana Ahrends. Cost is $2, payable at the door.
