OTTAWA – Illinois Valley Activity Director’s Association held a meeting at LaSalle County Nursing Home on March 12 with hostess, Jackie Latsch.
Members voted in a new slate of officers for 2018: president, Rhonda Griffin; vice-president, Missy Herridge; secretary, Chris Biagi-Roscoe, and treasurer, Chris Thompson.
Monthly educational programs, bi-laws and nursing home week ideas were discussed by members.
Carol Gronwold, certified theraputic recreation specialist from Quality Care Consulting Services, addressed members on “Sexual Intimacy for Persons Diagnosed with Dementia.”
The next IVADA meeting will be held at Heritage Health in Streator on April 9 at noon. Janet Sand, health services consultant, will speak on “Decreasing Behaviors through Activities.”
