Claudette E. Magnoni

OGLESBY – Claudette E. (Pierson) Magnoni, 85, of Oglesby, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at the Ottawa Pavilion.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home, Oglesby followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Carlson, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, Oglesby officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.

Claudette was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Mendota to Claude and Marion (Binge) Pierson. Shortly after her graduation from Mendota High School, she married and raised three children.

Claudette is survived by her children, Ronald Magnoni Jr. of Oglesby, Mark (Lori) Magnoni of Des Plaines, and Julie (Michael) Falk of Shorewood, Minn.; grandchildren, Brittany (Jay) Silverness, Ryan (Caitlin) Magnoni, Joshua (Madison) Falk, Audrey Magnoni, Sarah Magnoni, and Tyler (Nicole) Falk; three great-grandchildren, Baylor Mae Falk, Breccan Falk, and Lucan Falk; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She spent 22 years at R. R. Donnelly (Wayside Press) as a customer service specialist/manager until taking early retirement in 1998. She was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan and loved watching every game on TV or in person when she could make the trip. She loved others more than herself; her laugh was infectious and you always knew when Claudette was having fun. The true joy of her recent years was the bar she purchased and ran in Oglesby, called "Claudette's." But what gave her more joy than the bar, were the people who walked in. She thanks all her customers and friends for the support and love they gave over the 22+ years of ownership. Cheers!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church, Oglesby.
