MENDOTA - Claremont Mathesius, 81, of Mendota died July 26, 2018 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on July 30 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Compton with Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota handled the arrangements.
Claremont was born March 8, 1937 in Mendota to Elroy and Alva (Kaufman) Mathesius.
Survivors include one brother, Dale (Georgia) Mathesius of Mendota, one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Claremont was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Compton. He was employed by Horizon House workshop in Peru for many years.
