LA SALLE - Stage 212 in LaSalle is offering two children’s theater workshops early this summer. “Theatre Basics Workshop,” led by instructor Phil Grant, will meet from 12:30-2 p.m. June 17-21, and is for students entering grades 2-4 in the fall. The workshop covers all the basics of the theatre experience and will allow children to dabble in creative drama activities.
“Audition Bootcamp” will meet from 2:30-4 p.m. June 17-21, and is for students entering grades 5-9 in the fall. Instructor Phil Grant will prepare young actors for what to expect at their next audition, with an emphasis on singing, dancing and acting. Skills learned will apply to any audition, but the workshop will focus on the upcoming “Dear Edwina, Jr.” auditions.
Pre-registration is required for all workshops. For a registration form, costs and more information, call (815) 224-3025 or register online at www.stage212.org.
