Children’s programming planned at library

MENDOTA – The Graves-Hume Public Library has planned several children’s events during the month of May.

An evening session of Shake, Rattle & Read for babies and toddlers, ages birth to 3 years old, to enjoy with their caregivers will be held on Thursday, May 4 from 6-7 p.m. Come for stories, dancing, and playtime. Pre-K siblings are also welcome to share in the fun. Please sign up.

Morning sessions of Shake, Rattle & Read will be held on Tuesday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 23 from 10-11 a.m. No sign up is necessary for the morning session.

Lego Club for children in grades 1-4 will be held on Wednesday, May 10 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The library supplies the Legos; you bring your imagination. Sign up is required for this popular program.

The Read-Aloud Crowd story hour for children ages 3-K will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 3:30-4:15 p.m. Come for stories, crafts, and other activities. There is no need to sign up, just stop by!

Doggie Tales: Reading with Gigi will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. Children are invited to come and read stories to the library’s four-legged friend Gigi. Registration is necessary.

Finally, FunFamilyTime will be held on Thursday, May 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. With a book hunt theme, the evening will include activities for the whole family. Registration is necessary; space is limited.
