MENDOTA – The Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce handed out several awards at the annual dinner at the Mendota Civic Center, Nov. 8. Among them were the Volunteer of the Year Award and three Beautification Awards.
Sweet Corn Festival Volunteer of the Year Award went to Tony Troyer.
Beautification awards were accepted by Brian Allen of Rosati’s Pizza of Mendota; Gabe Wade of Triple Service; and Bernie Beetz of the Mendota Optimist Club and Betsy Westrick of the Mendota Lions Club for improvements to the basketball courts at Strouss Park.
