LA SALLE - Directors Neal Phelps and Phil Grant will hold auditions for Stage 212’s summer production of the endearing musical “Hello, Dolly” on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m. at the theater, 700 First St., LaSalle. Callbacks will be on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
Phelps and Grant will cast five women and four men in a variety of lead and supporting roles. They will also cast a dancing ensemble and a chorus, both of which will fill additional supporting roles.
Those auditioning should prepare up to 30 seconds of a classic musical theater song to sing a cappella. Those auditioning for the dance ensemble should wear appropriate clothing and dance shoes/laced sneakers. There will also be readings from the script for those interested in larger roles. These materials will be released prior to auditions.
Auditioners should come prepared with a list of their entire summer availability/conflicts. Auditions are open to anyone entering their freshmen year of high school and up.
