LA SALLE - Stage 212’s winter production will take the sisters on a brand new adventure in Dan Goggin’s “Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue.”
When a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to the sisters’ school if they will perform at a club in Las Vegas, Mother Superior is hesitant to accept. However, after being convinced by the other sisters that “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” Reverend Mother agrees. What follows is the most feather-filled, sequin-studded, fan dancing Nunsense show ever. Performing in “The Pump Room” at the Mystique Motor Lodge, the sisters experience “show-biz” like never before.
Featured in the cast are Jane Knapp as Sister Mary Regina, Mary Ann Thompson as Sister Mary Hubert, Lori Christopherson as Sister Robert Anne, Jessica Kreiser as Sister Mary Paul, and Debbi Torri as Sister Mary Leo. Appearing in the ensemble are Karen Lesman, Ella Johns, Zoe Piano, Amilia Sanchez and Tracy Daugherty.
Production staff includes director Bill Crane, co-producers Lori Christopherson and Jessica Kreiser, assistant director Maryhelen Bidasio, music director/rehearsal accompanist Kevin J. Alleman, choreographer Becky Christopherson, stage manager Maryann Ennenbach, set designer Glen Gerrard, lead set builder John Fanning, costume coordinator Pam Haughawout, lighting designer Scot Smigel, assistant lighting designer Yvette Lucas, light operator Abby Bertrand, spotlight operators Trenton McKennie and Timmy Campbell, sound technician Andrew Paden, sound operator Dylan Kilter and stagehands Joey Santos and Sydney Wright. The orchestra will feature Mary Cornwall, Sydney Romano-Atkinson and Ann Darwish.
“Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue” will be presented Feb. 7, 8 and 9 and 13, 14, 15 (two performances) and 16 at Stage 212, 700 First St., LaSalle. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.
Stage 212 is still offering 2020 season passes, which allows purchasers to line up tickets beginning Jan. 20. Tickets will be sold to the general public for $20 each beginning Jan. 27 and may be purchased at the box office Monday 4-6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–noon, by calling (815) 224-3025 during the same hours or online at www.stage212.org.
