What actor won the Oscar for Best Actor in 1989, and in what Oscar-winning movie did he appear?
The answer to last week’s quiz is: “Moon trees” are trees that have grown from seeds that were taken into space in 1971 by astronaut Stuart Roosa on Apollo 14. After their return, the seeds were planted in various locations across the U.S. An archivist at NASA says about 90 trees are accounted for, although about 30 are already dead. The archivist first learned about the space trees in the mid-1990s, after a teacher reached out to ask about a sycamore “moon tree” growing in Indiana.
