MANLIUS – Bureau Valley scored the game’s only touchdown and edged Mendota, 8-0, in freshman-sophomore football action on Sept. 13 at Manlius.
After a scoreless first quarter, Bureau Valley got on the board on a 64-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion run at the 7:25 mark of the second quarter.
The Trojans (0-2) were limited to 93 yards, with Domenic Richey picking up 45 yards rushing on six carries. Quarterback Justin Randolph completed 4-of-9 passes for 51 yards. Braiden Freeman had three receptions for 42 yards.
Bureau Valley gained 192 yards in the contest, all on the ground.
