Bureau County Farm Bureau President Evan Hultine, left, accepts a recognition plaque and Liberty Bell from Brian Duncan, Illinois Farm Bureau Vice President for the county’s achievements during 2018. The awards were presented during the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting and called attention to the comprehensive nature of county Farm Bureau programs. Each year, Illinois Farm Bureau presents program and committee awards in recognition of outstanding county Farm Bureau volunteer efforts throughout the year. The Illinois Farm Bureau is a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national organization of farmers and ranchers. Founded in 1916, IFB is a non-profit, membership organization controlled by farmers who join through their county Farm Bureau. IFB represents two out of three Illinois farmers. (Photos contributed)
Bureau County Farm Bureau was presented with the Liberty Bell for membership group IV at the 2018 Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. The Liberty Bell Award is a traveling trophy presented to one county farm bureau in each membership group based upon their combined activities in legislative and local affairs programs throughout the year.
