BUREAU COUNTY - Bureau County Horse Bowl and Hippology club members competed at the 4-H State Horse Judging Contest on Feb. 29 at Black Hawk College. Payton Frueh (6th place), Sierra Spohn (10th), and Brinley Kloepping (21st), combined their scores in the non-reasons division to finish third as a team.

Members of Horse Bowl and Hippology demonstrate their knowledge of equine related subject matter in a competitive setting. Participants do not need to own a horse to participate. The full Horse Bowl and Hippology club will compete next at the Northwest Regional Horse Bowl & Hippology event on April 4 at Knoxville High School.
