BENTON, Ark. - Bruce W. McCauley, 58, of Benton, Ark., formerly of Mendota, passed away Aug. 28, 2017 in Benton due to complications from pneumonia.

A private family memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Mendota followed by private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Bruce was born Sept. 4, 1958 in Mendota to Joseph Oscar and Mary (Klein) McCauley. He married Debbie Spangler on July 7, 1984 in Mendota.

Survivors include his wife of Shepardsville, Ky.; one son, Cory J. McCauley of Conway, Ark.; one daughter, Amanda J. McCauley of Bryant, Ark.; one granddaughter, Charlie McCallie of Bryant, Ark.; his mother of Mendota; four brothers, Larry (Judy) McCauley of Dunlap, John (Bev) McCauley of Mendota, Kevin McCauley of Ottawa, and Mark (Kim) McCauley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Bonnie (Ken) Bernardin of Rochelle; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Bruce graduated from Mendota High School in 1976. During his working years, he was employed by Remington Ammunition Company. He was an avid outdoorsman and a loving husband and father.
