MENDOTA – Betty Lou (Chaon) Bohn of Mendota will celebrate her 95th birthday on Saturday, Aug. 25 with family and friends. A reception for her will be held at Stonecroft, 1700 Burlington Avenue in Mendota from 2-4 p.m. Friends are encouraged to attend for cake. Your presence is the only gift requested.
Betty was born Aug. 25, 1923 in West Brooklyn, the daughter of Adolph and Maude (Montavon) Chaon.
Betty married Cal Bohn now deceased in 1944, where they lived in West Brooklyn. She is a member of Holy Cross Church in Mendota. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing dominoes and Wii bowling, and shopping.
Betty is the mother of three children: Rick (Ginny) Bohn of Williams Bay, Wis., Dr. Kathy (Dr. Tom Nielsen) Bohn of Bloomington, and Randy (Val) Bohn of Nashville, Ark. She has six grandchildren (Dan Bohn, Amy Bohn, Mike Bohn, Nicole Reid, Pam Wheeler and Dr. Beth Nielsen) and 10 great grandchildren (Adam and Casey Bohn, Abigail Reid, Maddi Reid, Josh Reid, Jason Reid, Braelynn Reid, Chloe Wheeler, Ricky Wheeler and Lexi Wheeler).
