DePUE – The 2017 Lake DePue Pro National Championship Boat Races with the U.S. Title Series will be held July 28-30 on Lake DePue in DePue.

This is the 33rd consecutive year for the races, which are sponsored by the DePue Men’s Club. Approximately 200 boaters from 20 states and an estimated 20,000 fans made last year’s races a successful event.

Activities during the week will begin on Saturday, July 22 with the DePue Men’s Club food stand. Events resume with food stands, a beer garden and musical entertainment on Wednesday, July 26. Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians with DePue native Al Pierson will perform from 6-8 p.m. Music by “Last Call” can be enjoyed from 8-11 p.m. On Thursday, July 27, the highlights will be food stands, the beer garden and a teen dance.

Championship boat racing will kick off at noon on Friday, July 28, with many more activities planned during the day. More music by “Last Call” will be featured from 8 p.m.-midnight.

There will be a 5K run/walk at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 29, and the boats will return to the water at noon. Music and dancing to the sounds of “Abby Normal” will be featured from 8 p.m.-midnight.

The final day of racing will be Sunday, July 30 beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Admission to the races is $3 per person. Nightly entertainment is free.
