Jeff and Erica (Arteaga) Currier of Mendota are parents of their first child, Roman John, born Nov. 22, 2017, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. The baby weighed 8 pounds. Maternal grandparents are Johnny Ray and Anna Arteaga of Mendota. Paternal grandparents are John and Diane Currier of Gibson City. Maternal great-grandparents are Jesse and Chela Botello, and Elida Arteaga, all of Mendota. Paternal great-grandparents are John and Frances Benson of Putnam.
