The club is open to all youth ages 8 to 18. Beekeeper Nancy Barnes will teach youth all about the world of beekeeping. Kids will learn why bees do what they do, how to set-up a hive, beekeeping equipment, how to identify bees and also identify plants that bees love.
This club will meet at the Lee County Extension office in Amboy at 280 W. Wasson Road on May 4, 11, 18 and June 1, 8, 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is free to 4-H members; a $20 4-H membership fee will apply to youth not registered in 4-H. Register online at go.illinois.edu/LeeBees.
