Bedtime Story Hour and Stuffed Animal Sleepover

MENDOTA – Graves-Hume Public Library will host a Bedtime Story Hour on Thursday, Jan. 17 from 6-7 p.m. Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal for this story, craft, and snack time. Guest reader will be Julie McKeague. Then leave your stuffed bestie for a sleepover at the library. Your animals will enjoy fun activities and photos during the wee hours of the night.

This event is for children 3 years old and older. Please register; call (815) 538-5142.

After School Movie

MENDOTA – Children of all ages are invited to watch Incredibles 2 at the Graves-Hume Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 22 from 3:30-5 p.m. Popcorn is included.

Please register in advance. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Additional movies will be shown on Feb. 20 from 1-3 p.m. – The House with a Clock in its Walls, March 20 from 1-3 p.m. – the original Jumanji, and April 16 from 1-3 pm. – Show Dogs.

Kids’ Lego Club to meet

MENDOTA – Lego Club, an exciting program for students in grades 1-4, will be held Thursday, Jan. 24. from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Graves-Hume Public Library. The library supplies the Legos and you bring your imagination. Children are limited to attending only one session per month of this extremely popular program. Parents or caregivers may drop off their children for the program hour. Sign up is required. Next month’s Lego Club will meet on Feb. 13 and Feb. 26.

Read with GiGi

MENDOTA – Snuggle up with and good book and GiGi the Labradoodle at the Graves-Hume Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Bring or borrow a book from the library to read with GiGi, a therapy dog. Registration is required Children must be in kindergarten or older.

GiGi will return to listen to children reading aloud on March 26 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
