TROY GROVE - Audrey J. Fitzgerald, 71 of Utica/Troy Grove passed away Feb. 11, 2021 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.
Audrey was born Oct. 1, 1949 in Moline to Thomas and Phyllis (Putt) Smith. She married Thomas Fitzgerald on Nov. 5, 1972 in Ottawa.
Survivors include her husband of Utica/Troy Grove; one daughter, Jolene Fitzgerald of Utica/Troy Grove; and one stepson, Michael (Teresa) Fitzgerald of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Daniel Smith and Thomas Smith.
Audrey and Tom worked together on the family farm. In addition to farming, Audrey was on the fuse assembly line at Westclox, was a scale operator for Manly Brothers, and retired after 16 years as Postmaster Relief at the Troy Grove United States Post Office. Along with her husband, she belonged to Living History Antique Equipment Club and Old Thrashers Club of Ohio, Ill.
