Compton, West Brooklyn
WEST BROOKLYN - Brooklyn American Legion Post 657 will hold a Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 29 at the Melugins Grove Cemetery north of Compton. A flag burning will be included in the service. The public is welcome to bring their torn flags to the service for disposal.
Immediately following the first service, a second one will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in West Brooklyn.
Ladd Legion announces Memorial Day schedule
Retired Navy Seal to speak at LaMoille event
LADD - The Harold E. Russell Post 938 American Legion, Ladd will hold Memorial Day services on Monday, May 29, weather permitting.
Events will begin at 7:45 a.m. at Ray Barto Memorial Park, Seatonville followed at 8:15 a.m. at Berean Cemetery; 8:45 a.m. Cherry Miner’s Cemetery, Cherry; 9:45 a.m.-Calvary Cemetery, Arlington; 10 a.m.-Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille, with retired Commander Michael Imhoff, U.S. Navy Seals; 11:15 a.m.-Dalzell Memorial Park, Dalzell; 11:45 a.m.-Ladd Cemetery, Ladd; and 12:15 p.m.-The War Memorial Park, Ladd.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
In case of inclement weather, some of the services may be canceled. The Cherry program will move to Holy Trinity Church Hall, the Calvary Cemetery program will move to St. Patrick’s Church Hall, the War Memorial Park program will move to the Ladd Community Center and the Greenfield Cemetery program will move to Allen Junior High School.
