MENDOTA - While Illinois is under a “shelter in place” restriction due to COVID-19, many area churches are reaching out in other ways during this difficult time.
Announcements received from local churches include:
First United Methodist Church, Mendota - All in-person meetings, events and services have been postponed until further notice. Please visit their Facebook page (Mendota First United Methodist Church) to access all of their virtual content, which they are making available to help them stay in ministry during this difficult time.
First Presbyterian Church, Mendota - All services, in-person meetings, worship, session and deacon meetings, and events that would happen at the church building are suspended until the public is officially advised that it is safe to meet again. Services will be livestreamed and Pastor Susan will send out instructions on how to access those services. Bulletins will be sent via e-mail. The church office hours will remain the same. Pastor Susan can be reached by cell any time for emergencies.
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Compton - Worship services and all church activities are cancelled until further notice. Please check out their website, www.ilccompton.org or their Facebook page for updates.
Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille - The church is still in business even though the facility is closed. If you have any needs: spiritual, transportation, financial, food, etc., please call the church at (815) 638-2348 or Pastor Dave at (815) 303-3516.
