OTTAWA – The Ottawa Concert Association will present “Stage and Screen,” featuring Irish flute star Gary Arbuthnot to kick off the 2018 -2019 concert series.
International virtuoso Gary Arbuthnot presents a show that will thrill and delight all audiences. Now seen by a million people worldwide, his show “Stage and Screen” highlights incredible musical scores from contemporary movies, Broadway, and opera to some of the biggest rock and pop groups of the modern era.
Arbuthnot takes the stage Oct. 1 at the Central Intermediate School Auditorium in Ottawa at 7 p.m.
Voted Entertainer of the Year by Crystal Cruises, Arbuthnot was also a prize winner at numerous flute competitions, including the Meaker Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Music in London. Other prizes include the BBC Radio Young Artists Forum, plus many other international awards and scholarships.
Members of the Ottawa Concert Association enjoy four concerts for an annual fee of $45 which includes the opportunity to attend reciprocity concerts in Pontiac and Dixon, free of charge. For ticket information, call (815) 496-2970.
