MENDOTA - Services for Anna M. Zearfaus will be held on Friday, July 12 at the Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Celebration of Life service conducted by her grandson, Jason Zearfaus. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of ashes will take place at a later date.
Anna passed away June 13, 2019 at OSF Saint Paul, Mendota. She was born Feb. 28, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Edward and Anna Dorothy (Bowers) Myers. She married William E. Zearfaus in Westmont, N.J. on Nov. 28, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2008.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Zearfaus of Mendota; one son, Rev. William (Dale) Zearfaus of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Jason (Blanca) Zearfaus of Rossville, Ga.; and three great grandsons, Joshua, William and Zachary.
She was preceded in death by her husband and five brothers, Edward, Frederick, Roland, Robert and Buddy Myers.
During her work career, Anna was an owner/manager of a daycare in Spring Hill, Fla. for 25 years. While living in New Jersey, she was treasurer of the volunteer fire department in Cecil, N.J.
