EARLVILLE - Adeline E. Peterson, 97, of Earlville passed away Feb. 7, 2020 at Heritage Health in Mendota.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow at Precinct Cemetery, Earlville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 11 at the church.
Adeline was born April 10, 1922 in Rochelle to Ferd and Clara (Knutson) Heiston. She married John Peterson in 1940 in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two children, Rita (Larry) Beck and Norman (Joan) Peterson, both of Earlville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Linda Peterson of Earlville; one sister, Carol “Susie” Beardin of Ashton; one sister-in-law, Fern Heiston of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Luann Acuncius; one son, Melvin; two grandsons, Jeffery Beck and Tom Schmidt; and three brothers, Francis, Duwayne and Edward Heiston.
Adeline was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville. She worked at CTS in Sandwich for over 20 years. She enjoyed babysitting for friends and family and loved to swing on her porch with her dog and watch the traffic go by. Most of all she enjoyed baking pies and spending time with her family.
