TRIUMPH – An 18-year-old Utica woman died June 10 in a single-vehicle crash near Triumph, according to the La Salle County Coroner and Sheriff's offices.
Taryn Nicole Pakenham, the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene. The vehicle she was driving struck a tree. Mendota and Troy Grove responders were called to the site at N. 3973rd Road near N. 4009th Road at 9:32 a.m. and were on scene until 12:15 p.m.
The accident is under investigation by the La Salle County Coroner's Office and the La Salle County Sheriff's Office. Pakenham is formerly from Mendota.
