LAMOILLE – When one hears Shakespeare, one thinks of stuffy, strange language, drama and depression. If that is what one is looking for entertainment this weekend… then one can keep looking.

However, if you are looking for something a little more relaxed this weekend, the LaMoille Drama Department is proud to present “Shakespeare on the Green: Fun, Frantic and Slightly Fractured Introductions to Shakespeare Plays.”

The production is broken down into four funny frameworks that include slightly fractured versions of The Taming of the Shrew, King Lear, Comedy of Errors and The Winter’s Tale. From romance and weddings to sword fights and high treasonous trash talk, this production has all the hilarious Shakespearean Tragedy anyone can handle in one evening. It will have you rolling in the isles and probably have “Bill” Shakespeare rolling in his grave.

This is definitely not your Grandfather’s Shakespeare!

The production will be held Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. in the LHS gymnasium. Tickets are $7 per person and are available at the door.
