OREGON – The Oregon Woman’s Club recently announced their 68th annual antique show, one of the premier antiques shows in Northern Illinois. The Oregon Woman’s Club, a member of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs, sponsors this show as a major fundraising event and uses the proceeds to help fund various community projects and charities.

As in past years, the show will be held at the Blackhawk Center Sports Arena, located on the Oregon Public School campus. The facility offers ample parking, handicap accessibility and a huge area for their 52 Midwest antique dealers from Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Iowa to display their merchandise for sale. Quality antiques from the early 1800s through mid-century 1950s, including all areas of collecting – furniture, glass, china, pottery, toys, primitives, textiles, jewelry, dolls, silver, decorator items and more. There will be items for all collecting tastes and budgets, for both the new and advanced collector.

The food concession will be provided by the Chana United Methodist Ladies. The menu will be a selection of sandwiches, chips, desserts and beverages. Mary Lou’s Crystal Repair from Joliet will be on hand both days to repair your damaged heirlooms while you wait. On Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Hack’s Auction & Realty Services of Pecatonica will offer verbal appraisals of your small treasures for $5 per item. Please supply photos of large items. If a written appraisal is needed, discuss the details with the appraisers.

Show times are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry to the show is $6 per person, which is good for both days. Door prizes will be awarded throughout both days of the show.

Blackhawk Center is located at 1101 West Jefferson Street in Oregon.
