68 units collected at Red Cross blood drive

MENDOTA – The American Red Cross held a blood drive on July 26 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. There were 68 good units collected. There were 56 whole blood and 12 double red cell donations. It was a great turnout, and your time and donation are greatly appreciated.

Raymond Jauch was a first-time donor. Several donors reached gallon goals, including Jesse Beetz-one gallon, Susan Ambler-three gallons, Mary Mendoza, Piper Deering and Katie Fromherz-four gallons, and Todd Phalen and Lori Simonton-ten gallons.

Volunteers for the day were Sandy Schroeder, Kathi Stamberger, Melony Carver, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Lori Schlesinger, Debbie Jasper and Lori Simonton. Mendota Subway once again donated sandwiches for the luncheon and the Lions Club also sponsored egg salad sandwiches, BBQ, and chips for the drive.  Dessert were furnished by Aimee Holland, Kathi Stamberger, Lori Simonton, Marlene Simonton and Kristi Carroll.
